Sidilega’s accident and emergency department is a 24 hour department on the ground floor, adjacent to radiology and imaging department for convenience and easy access of accident and emergency related services. We offer prompt and on the spot services to our patients especially walk in because we understand their anxiety and fear. Our emergency staff’s calm demeanor renders comfort to patients to relax and receive treatment accordingly.
The department is designed in such a way that it can be accessed through four doors, two of which are dedicated for emergency cases. The Resuscitation room is well equipped with a portable ventilator, digital laryngoscope and spacious enough to accommodate a team during resuscitation.
To ensure that patients are attended to as efficiently and scientifically the department has implemented the triage system. The system dictates which patient to be seen according to severity of illness not necessarily in order of arrival, you may have to wait longer than anticipated while medical emergencies are being treated. Color codes are awarded to patients per their presenting condition. From Red, Orange, Yellow and Green. Red being the most severe.
The accident and emergency department also offers security of patient valuables upon arrival, because we believe the only thing a patient should worry about is getting better.
